Friends of the
Jackson County Greenways
is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working in partnership with Jackson County government and municipalities to bring additional resources that support greenway expansion and maintenance in Jackson County, North Carolina.
What We Do
• Support local governments in Jackson County in expanding and maintaining their greenway facilities.
• Advocate for connections between existing greenspaces and destinations within our community.
• Develop strategic, collaborative partnerships that lead to investment in greenways in Jackson County.
• Engage volunteers in on-the-ground efforts in coordination with Jackson County Parks & Recreation Department.
• Foster environmental stewardship through outreach and education.
• Promote access for all.
